Delete your Handler account

In the app

Open Handler and go to the Profile tab.
Tap Delete account.
Confirm. Your account is deleted straight away.

If you can't get into the app

Email us from the address on your account, with Delete my account in the subject and your username in the message.

We'll delete your account within 30 days, usually much sooner, and email you to confirm. If you no longer have that email address, tell us and we'll find another way to check the account is yours.

What gets deleted

Your account: email address, password and username
Your profile, dogs and training logs
Your channel memberships and your list of blocked members
Your verification requests, vouches you received, and any ID photo that hasn't been checked yet

What stays

Messages you posted stay in their channels, shown as from a deleted account and no longer linked to you. If you want them gone, delete them first, or ask us when you email and we'll remove them.
Vouches you gave stay on the other member's record, without your name.
Reports, bans and the log of staff actions are kept while they're needed for safety or legal reasons, and reviewed at least once a year. See the privacy policy.
